Today Judy lives and works in Tasmania in the Huon Valley and her work incorporates the water, yachts and narratives of Cradle Mt. She is currently involved in Saving the Tarkine with the Bob Brown Foundation and this Easter will visit Arthur River
and Corina for the first time to sketch and paint.
During the last few years Judy has been working on a series of artwork based on Cradle Mt which is based on the story of Gustav and Kate who built the first chalet. Kate was the first white woman to
scale the mountain of Cradle Mt over 100 years ago. When you are in Cradle Mt you realize how this was so amazing. This work is being displayed at Cradle Mt Wilderness Gallery and the exhibition is titled "and the people will come"
work is dynamic and powerful and this is shown in the new series of work for the art show “and the people will come” at the Cradle Mt Wilderness Gallery Cradle Mt
Judy has been collected by many new collectors who supported her art practice
through out the years.
Creativity is part of my life Judy. She would say that
“ creativity is everywhere, in the garden, when I cook, when I drive. Being creative is seeing the world in a different
way to others. Being an artist I believe is a process of constantly developing, trying new ideas, technics and keeping up to date with technology and being relevant to society. Indeed maybe asking the difficult questions such as Saving the Tarkine”
